Brigadier General Gholam-Reza Jalali, a senior military official in Iran, claiming the existence of the worm type malware attacks on the country.

As quoted from TheRegister, Tuesday (26/04/2011), Jalali said the attack was still under investigation. The worm was dubbed the Stars and is referred to as'virus spy'.

"Some characteristics of the Stars has been identified, including that it is compatible with systems that were attacked and damaged a little and could initially only be considered as one executable file owned by the government," said Jalali, head of the anti-sabotage unit in Iran.

Jalali did not mention what computer system targeted by the Stars. He also said his country should prepare for similar attacks in the future.
