Firefighters responded quickly to reports of smoke in an industrial neighborhood, to find a large motorhome parked on the street well involved with fire.
Tackling the flames in less than ten minutes, and preventing the fire from spreading to nearby businesses, LAFD personnel soon discovered the lifeless remains of one person inside the charred vehicle. A positive identification of the deceased person, including their age and gender as well as the cause, time and manner of their death, will be determined by the Coroner's Office.
No other injuries were reported.
Monetary loss from the blaze is still being tabulated. The cause of this early morning fire remains under active investigation.
